We are delighted to announce that Jess Sumner, an assistant manager in our pensions actuarial team, has passed all of the exams required to qualify as an actuary.

Jess joined BWCI in 2014 after graduating with a Masters degree in Mathematics from the University of Leeds. As well as studying for the actuarial exams, Jess is a key member of the BWCI Bandits, our touch rugby team.

BWCI’s study coordinator, Matt Stanbury, said “Jess’s qualification brings the total number of actuaries at BWCI to 17, over 75% of whom have completed their actuarial studies through our inhouse training programme.”

Jess said "I am excited to have finally finished all the exams required to qualify as an Actuary. At times I thought I was never going to get through them all but I am glad I stuck at it."
